Greetings!

As always, you are receiving this fine publication because you’ve asked to be added to our mailing list. Please let us know right away if you’d like to be removed. Welcome to all our new subscribers. You’ll find we don’t send this out very often, but we like staying in contact with all of you.

Avatar Health Update

Due to back problems and the possibility of impending surgery, Avatar has spent the better part of three months “laying on the couch watching Bloomberg doing hard narcotics.” He just got the news this week that he won’t be having surgery any time soon, so he’s free to start having a life again. As he says it, he’s finally going to be “back to work on new songs about the real world of Faerie.” Email him get well wishes at avatar@elvendrums.com

Upcoming Elvendrums Performances

We’re excited about our upcoming concert schedule, with more shows planned between now and July than the entire 2004 concert season! To be sure we could meet the schedule; we’ve been working with Gregg Harris, who joined us on the Gateway to Faerie recording. Gregg was willing to step in to rehearse and play with us, given Avatar’s uncertain prognosis and long recuperation time. We’re pleased to have his help as we start our 2005 season.

Here’s what we have planned so far:

Saturday April 23rd - Jefferson City, MO
7 pm. Concert and Silent Auction Benefit for Moreau Montessori School (our daughter, Kaia is a student there!)
Email Devan for tickets - $7 in advance.

May 14-15; May 21-22; June 4-5 - St. Louis MO
St. Louis Renaissance Festival

May 28-29 St. Louis MO
St. Louis Renaissance Festival
Devan & Nerethel visit for their annual informal performers jam day with the other acts

June 11, 2005 Sedalia, MO
Hamlet of Mid Missouri Renaissance Festival
Join Devan and Nerethel for their annual performers jam day with the other acts

June 25 Jefferson City, MO
Jefferson City Renaissance Festival
Annual FREE Faire with lots of Kansas City Renaissance Festival performers and actors
More information to follow

We’re looking forward to performing again. Although our last Elvendrums show was in October, Nerethel and Devan have been busy, drumming and singing each week at Unity Church of Peace in Jefferson City, MO and jamming with local musicians in the area. Michele VanHoose is the music director and the place really rocks each Sunday. Feel free to drop by if you’re in the area.

Happy Spring!
